that much is clear.
if you were, things would be simple.
i believe that if you love someone,
then be with them.
and everything else should fall into place.
life is too short for all the ifs and maybes,
and the what could have beens,
that strike you only in retrospect

if you were my One,
there would be no thought of an inevitable end
hanging in the back of our minds.
and there would be no pride,
standing starkly between us like a wall.
therefore i conclude,
that you are not my The One.
even though... it may be hard to part.
